FIFA has confirmed the dates and venues for the first two matches of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025™, the global club competition which allows the champions of all six confederations to compete on the world stage on an annual basis.

Preliminary data has confirmed that fans from across the globe were captivated by the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup™. 

Brazilian network TV Globo recorded its three highest audiences of 2025 during the tournament.

DAZN streamed all 63 matches live and for free and achieved record reach and engagement throughout the tournament. 

In Spain, 49% of the population (around 24 million people) watched the competition, while in Italy, 48% of the population (around 28 million people) tuned in. 

The closely-fought match between Manchester City FC and Al Hilal achieved significant market share across Saudi Arabia, with 77.8% of people watching television at the time of broadcast tuning in.

Palmeiras' games against Inter Miami CF and Botafogo recorded their second- and third-highest viewing figures of the year, respectively.

In Portugal, the match between Inter Miami CF and FC Porto gave TVI its highest rating of 2025 at the time of broadcast.

CR Flamengo’s game against FC Bayern München was watched by 37.3 million people.

CA River Plate recorded an 87% share of the entire television audience during their game against CF Monterrey.

In Argentina, the match between CA Boca Juniors and SL Benfica was watched by more than 9.1 million people.

Preliminary data has confirmed that fans from across the globe were captivated by the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup™. The figures show that an estimated 2.7 billion fans viewed the FIFA Club World Cup™ across all forms of media.
